'Tis the season to take your loved one out on a date! Luckily, Milwaukee has a wide array of restaurants for you to choose from. At hankr, we aim at providing our lovely users with food options based on their mood, so we divided some of Milwaukee's most Valentine's Day friendly restaurants by mood. Craving flavors from afar, small bites, classic American, french, seafood, or a casual night out? We've got your back.
Flavors from Afar...
Let The Cheel’s foreign food whisk you and your taste buds away to Nepal this Valentine’s Day. One of the many notable dishes is the Bheda Lamb Shank, a tender Strauss lamb shank braised with garlic, ginger, onion, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, cumin and coriander.
Casablanca serves fresh, authentic Middle Eastern cuisine that renders a delicious opportunity to spice up a holiday that can turn blasé. You can’t go wrong with the Lamb Chops, topped with caramelized onions and served with spinach and basmati rice (and of course, the Casa Brownie Soufflé à la Mode for dessert).
Sushi and a romantic night out go hand-in-hand in hankr’s book. That’s why Izumi’s is a Valentine’s Day date night no-brainer. The Misozuke is a must, you won’t want to miss this marinated and broiled buttery Black Cod.
Few things are more romantic than a table overlooking Milwaukee’s expanding cityscape. Harbor House excels from the views to the food. In hankr’s humble opinion this special night calls for a Seafood Tower.
Balzac's mantra, "sharing is caring", comes in handy when the small plates you and your date choose look equally as tasty. Our favorite's are the Trout and Uni Carbonara, the Tuna Tartare, and the Duck Nachos. Oh, you can't go wrong with any of the flatbread options, either. Pair your picks with a glass of wine and let the bliss set in.
Milwaukee Chophouse is a classic Milwaukee fine dining destination, and there’s no question why. Try to remember to save room for dessert, the Chocolate Fudge Cake should not be missed.
Valentine's Day supper club style is a must do, and Eddie Martini's does supper club right. Two highlights amongst the steaks, chops and seafood are the Shrimp De Longe appetizer and the Creamed Corn side.
Bacchus is the type of place you’d bring a date you really, really want to wow. Why? Because an experience at Bacchus is nothing short of exceptional. From the service, to the plating presentation, no detail is overlooked. We recommend splitting the Porterhouse for Two this Valentine’s Day, it’s a feast filled with melt-in-your-mouth steak served with a potato puree, sauteed mushrooms, and garlic spinach.
This classic steakhouse located in the heart of Downtown Milwaukee serves wood fired steaks and elegantly prepared seafood . We recommend the Kansas City Strip with the thick cut Nueske's Bacon upgrade, it define's decadence.
Keeping Things Casual...
Looking for a more casual night out with your boo? Miller Time Pub and Grill offers a fun setting, delish food (our favorites are the Crispy Fish Tacos or the German Style Bratwurst), and *one* free beer per guest with purchase on Valentine’s Day. Clink glasses with your hunnie while sipping on your free glass of Liene’s Red Pale Ale.
No matter which location throughout the Milwaukee are you fancy, BelAir Cantina expertly serves up a wide array of Cali-Mex style dishes in an easy-going atmosphere. Among the 15+ taco options, our favorite is a tie between the High-Five Taco and the Korean Beef Taco. Their margaritas don't suck, either.
Bartolotta’s Lake Park Bistro is, perhaps, one of the most romantic settings in the city. If you’re looking for a cozy candlelit dinner overlooking Lake Michigan, all while dining on some of the best French cuisine in the city, look no further.
Le Reve Patisserie & Cafe
Le Reve, located in the heart of the Wauwatosa Village, offers classic French cuisine in a charming setting. It'd be a sin to mention Le Reve without mentioning the infamous, stunning dessert display. Macaroons, on macaroons.
Upon entering Cafe Grace, you and your date will feel transformed to a Parisian cafe. Perfectly paired with the setting, the menu offers romantic options like Canard Confit, which is a slow cooked duck leg with fresh spinach, walnuts, and an aromatic cherry gastrique that amplifies this dish into an out of this world delicious-ness category.
